The BBC and Starz have announced ‘You Are Here,’ a heartfelt new drama series based on David Nicholls’ critically acclaimed bestselling novel of the same name. The eight-part adaptation brings together an impressive creative team, with Nicholls adapting his own novel and acclaimed filmmaker Lenny Abrahamson set to direct.
Leading the series are award-winning stars Matthew Macfadyen (Succession, Legacy of Spies, Death by Lightning) and Claire Foy (All of Us Strangers, The Magic Faraway Tree, The Crown), who will play Michael and Marnie, two strangers brought together by chance on an unforgettable journey across England.

‘You Are Here’ follows Michael and Marnie, whose lives unexpectedly intersect when a mutual friend brings them together. Before long, the pair embark on an ambitious coast-to-coast walk across the English countryside.
What begins as an unlikely adventure gradually develops into something far deeper. Neither Michael nor Marnie is searching for romance, yet their shared journey forces them to confront loneliness, vulnerability and the possibility that love can arrive when least expected.
Described as an honest, witty and tender exploration of connection in midlife, the series promises a moving blend of romance, humour and emotional honesty.
David Nicholls, whose previous adaptations include the hugely successful ‘One Day,’ as well as ‘Starter for Ten’ and ‘Us,’ has written all eight episodes of the adaptation.
Behind the camera is Oscar-nominated director Lenny Abrahamson, whose acclaimed work includes ‘Room’ and ‘Normal People’.
Both Nicholls and Abrahamson also serve as executive producers. Executive producers also include Claire Foy and Matthew Macfadyen, alongside Ed Guiney, Andrew Lowe and Emma Norton for Element Pictures, and Jonny Richards and Anna Ferguson for the BBC.
