The kind of movies Vishal Bhardwaj has been making over the last year, pretty much gets my buy-in straight away. Although we don’t really know what the plot of the movie is about as the trailer relies heavily on the snappy dialogue and rustic visual style of which we first saw him use in Omkara.
Most people will probably be talking about Imran Khan’s impressive facial hair, and he seems to have a lot of detractors, I’ve always liked the guy and I think he does well with dry, witty humour and it seems he gets to do just that but with aviators on and North Indian accent. (Check out our Upodcast interview with him when he was promoting DelhiBelly by clicking here)
Anushka Sharma is quickly becoming one of my favorite actresses on screen and although she is playing a fun and spunky girl again, she bring so much spark and energy, I just can’t seem to get enough of her. This also is the 2nd movie she is doing out of the Yash Raj banner, after Patial House, which should be interesting in itself.
Pankaj Kapur, has been called one of the greatest actors in Indian cinema quite a few times, I haven’t seen much of his work that’s blown me away but like Imran, he’s definitely has some impressive beardage going on.
Here’s the trailer:
Beside all of that, we have music by Vishal Bhardwaj, which has never been made and his talent as a director sometimes makes you forget how good his music (or even his singing is) plus it helps remembering the name of the movie which in itself is hard enough(seriously, I had to copy paste it in the the title of the post to be sure), and how long has it been since we saw the amazing Shabana Azmi on screen?
Definitely looking forward to this one
