Marvel-Cinematic-Universe-Phase-Two-Concept-ArtPhase One of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has undeniably been one of the greatest things to happen to comic book movies of all time, so it’s no surprise that everyone’s looking forward to seeing what Marvel have in store for us in Phase Two.

Kicking things off in just a matter of weeks will be Shane Black’s Iron Man 3, and it will be followed swiftly by Thor: The Dark World at the end of this year, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy next year, and The Avengers 2 in May 2015.

This week, Marvel finally debuted Phase One of their Cinematic Universe on Blu-ray out in the US, bringing a special, 10-disc box set to the shelves, featuring all six of the movies from the first phase, from Iron Man through to The Avengers.

Also included in the box set is a preview at Phase Two, along with concept art from the blockbusters coming our way in the next few years, and now that featurette and those images have debuted online.

Needless to say, we can’t wait to see everything below when it arrives on the big screen.

Shane Black’s Iron Man 3 will be first off the block, hitting theatres on 25th April in the UK, followed by a May 3rd US release date.

Then it’s Alan Taylor’s Thor: The Dark World, arriving on 8th November this year, followed by Joe and Anthony Russo’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier on 4th April, 2014.

James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy marks the first original film in the second phase of the Cinematic Universe, landing on 1st August, 2014.

And finally, Joss Whedon will return to the fold to bring us The Avengers 2 on 1st May, 2015. And with a bit of luck, we’ll hopefully be seeing Marvel and Whedon’s S.H.I.E.L.D. series arrive on the small screen before the end of this year. So much to look forward to, in the weeks, months, and years to come. Here’s a preview whilst we wait.
