Hulk

Marvel Studios have found great success with all of their movies since the release of Iron Man in 2008, and have since created a number of new superhero franchises, including the second highest grossing movie of all-time, Avengers Assemble. However, The Incredible Hulk remains the black sheep of the family!

Directed by Louis Leterrier and starring Ed Norton (who later refused to help promote the movie because he wasn’t happy with the finished product after demanding creative control), it was a moderate success with critics and at the box office, but didn’t do quite well enough to ensure a follow-up of any sort.

With Joss Whedon and Mark Ruffalo breathing fresh life into the character in Avengers Assemble along with some incredible work from ILM, the demand for another solo movie starring Marvel’s Green Goliath has been at an all-time high over the past couple of years. So, is it actually going to happen?

“I think they are, for the first time, entertaining the idea of it. When we did The Avengers it was basically ‘No!’, and now there is some consideration for it. But there’s still nothing definitive, not even a skeletal version of what it would be. I look forward to going down that road, if we could crack that nut. I think the Banner/Hulk storyline is obviously not easy a tough nut to crack.”

When Ruffalo was asked whether he things a team-up movie could be a less risky venture than another solo outing for the Hulk, he responded with, “If they do Iron Man 4 and Banner’s in that, that would be great.” The actor then went on to promise a very cool scene between the “science bros.” (who were last seen together in the end-credits scene of Iron Man 3) in Avengers: Age of Ultron, so that will be a start at least!
