Well, that news from yesterday about The Incredibles getting a 3D re-release makes a lot more sense now! Disney boss Bob Iger revealed today during Disney’s latest Investor’s Meeting that Brad Bird is working on the story for The Incredibles 2, while Pixar are also planning out a third Cars movie.

incrediblesThere wasn’t much in the way of Star Wars news, although Iger did assure shareholders that the movie will meet its planned 2015 release and that it picks up thirty years after the events of Return of the Jedi with “familiar faces and trio of new young leads”.

StarWars.com have since confirmed that shooting with begin at London’s Pinewood Studios this May.

Also released during the meeting was a brand new full-length trailer for Maleficent.

Maleficent” explores the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the classic “Sleeping Beauty” and the elements of her betrayal that ultimately turn her pure heart to stone. Driven by revenge and a fierce desire to protect the moors over which she presides, Maleficent cruelly places an irrevocable curse upon the human king’s newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Aurora is caught in the middle of the seething conflict between the forest kingdom she has grown to love and the human kingdom that holds her legacy. Maleficent realizes that Aurora may hold the key to peace in the land and is forced to take drastic actions that will change both worlds forever.

Starring Angelina Jolie, Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville, Maleficent is directed by Robert Stromberg and opens on on May 30th, 2014.
