A-Field-In-England

Ben Wheatley’s spectacular and surreal film A Field in England premiered in a unique fashion last week, debuting on cinema screens, VOD and Film4 as well as being available to buy on DVD and Blu-ray all on the same day.

The bold release strategy is a clear talking point, and it may be a milestone in a new trend for independent cinema, but there’s no overshadowing the fact that Wheatley and Amy Jump have created something wonderful and, true to form, something terrifying.

One of the reasons to get the film on Blu-ray is the special features and we have a look at one of those for you today. In this clip the director explains how one of his scenes comes together, from the rushes to the finished film.
