Apple TV has released the official trailer for ‘Lucky,’ its upcoming high-stakes limited series starring and executive produced by Emmy Award nominee and Golden Globe winner Anya Taylor-Joy. The gripping crime thriller is set to make its global debut on July 15, launching with the first two episodes before continuing weekly through August 19.

Based on the bestselling novel ‘Lucky’ by Marissa Stapley and a popular selection from Reese’s Book Club, the series promises a tense blend of action, suspense, and survival as its protagonist is thrust into a dangerous race against time.

The newly released trailer introduces viewers to Lucky, a skilled con artist whose carefully orchestrated life spirals out of control when a multi-million-dollar heist goes disastrously wrong. Forced into hiding, she finds herself hunted by both federal authorities and a ruthless crime boss, leaving her with few allies and even fewer options.

The official synopsis reads:

When a multi-million-dollar heist goes sideways, con artist Lucky (Taylor-Joy) is forced to go on the run. Pursued by both the FBI and a ruthless crime boss, Lucky must fight for her life — and a way out.

Leading the series is Anya Taylor-Joy, who also serves as an executive producer. Joining her is an impressive ensemble cast featuring Annette Bening, Timothy Olyphant, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Drew Starkey, Clifton Collins Jr. and William Fichtner.

‘Lucky’ hails from Apple TV, Apple Studios, and Hello Sunshine. The adaptation was created by Jonathan Tropper, who also serves as co-showrunner, writer, and executive producer through his Tropper Ink banner under his overall deal with Apple TV.

Executive producer Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter produce on behalf of Hello Sunshine, while Taylor-Joy executive produces through her LadyKiller banner. The pilot episode is directed by Jonathan van Tulleken, who also serves as an executive producer. Cassie Pappas joins Tropper as co-showrunner.
