The London Games Festival is returning to, um, well London this year hoping to be bigger and better than the previous festival.

The last London Games Festival in 2010 saw over 75,000 individuals attend 26 separate events, and will be directed once again by Kirsty Payne.

“London Games Festival is a real focus for Ukie this year,” says event director Kirsty Payne. “We’re looking to unite the whole industry in a month-long celebration of games and gaming culture, and expect this to be the biggest LGF to date.”

“We’re devoting more resources to it than ever before,” continues Kirsty, “with the aim of making this the busiest event yet. The way people buy, play and consume games is changing – and we hope to reflect that with a wide range of brilliant events falling under one glorious banner.  Anyone can host an event under the London Games Festival banner – so we’re looking forward to getting the capital playing together and celebrating the culture of games from September 27th”

Dates for the festival have also been announced, it will be a month-long gaming extravaganza running between September 27th and October 28th 2012. So, if you’re a gamer, I would book the month off work so you can go and along and just game for a month.
