Actors Darby Stanchfield, Connor Jessup and show developers/writers Meredith Averill & Carlton Curse are interviewed by DaniElle DeLaite about their new Netflix series, Locke & Key. The show also stars Emilia Jones, Jackson Robert Scott and Laysla De Oliveira.

The name, Locke & Key, might sound familiar to you because it’s the name of the best selling graphic novels by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodrigues from which this show was adapted.

Darby tells us how there is nothing quite like this show on air. It’s Stranger Things meets Harry Potter then sprinkle a little Chronicles of Narnia, maybe some Lost in Space and it’s a show that everybody can watch.  The dark fantasy and magic of the show is grounded in real family drama and Connor and Meredith talk about how the kids use the keys to help them cope with their grief of losing their father. Another layer of complexity within the series is that the mother is unaware of the magical powers the keys hold.

Meredith and Carlton talk about their favourite Key to work on during the adaptation and filming process and what is was like to working on adapting the show whilst collaborating with Joe Hill.

We also ask Darby and Connor if in real life they could use any key which key it would be.

Locke & Key arrives on Netflix on the 7th of February, 2020.
