Not content with writing and directing the post-apocalyptic drama Light of My Life Casey Affleck also leads the film along with his remarkable co-star Anna Pniowsky. Stefan Pape was in Germany for the Berlinale and he sat down with them to talk about their new film.
Amongst the discussion of the film Affleck talks about his co-star and on screen daughter’s ability to perform naturally and capably, something he noticed during the audition process.
The film will be available in theaters, on demand and digital on August 9th.
Plot:
A father and his young daughter find themselves trapped in the woods and journey through the outskirts of society a decade after a pandemic has wiped out half the world’s population. As a father struggles to protect his child, their bond, and the character of humanity, is tested.
