It is said that Dicaprio – who we haven’t seen on the big screen since The Revenant – will play the lead, an actor who had his own Western show, Bounty Law, that ran on the air from 1958 to 1963. His attempt to transition to movies didn’t work out and in 1969 he’s guesting on other people’s shows while contemplating going to Italy which has become a hotbed for low-budget Westerns.

The plot outline reads; The story focuses on a male TV actor who’s had one hit series and his looking for a way to get into the film business. His sidekick— also his stunt double—is looking for the same thing. The horrific murder of Sharon Tate and four of her friends by Charles Manson’s cult of followers serves as a backdrop to the main story.

Sources have also revealed that the script could be compared to Pulp Fiction, taking Tarantino back to his heyday with a story that “has heart and a strong commercial appeal,”

The film is said to cost in the region of $100 Million and is said that Margot Robbie could also come on board in lead position to take on the role of Sharon Tate. Rumours that Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt could also come on board are also circling.

The movie is scheduled to hit cinemas August 9th, 2019
