Prime Video has released the official trailer for its upcoming psychological thriller series Harlan Coben’s ‘Lazarus,’ set to premiere globally on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. All six episodes will drop on launch day, exclusively on Prime Video.
Based on an original idea by New York Times best-selling author Harlan Coben, and written alongside BAFTA-winner Danny Brocklehurst, the series promises a chilling blend of family secrets, unsolved crimes, and supernatural unease.
The story centres on Joel Lazarus (Sam Claflin), who returns home following the shocking suicide of his father, renowned psychiatrist Dr. Jonathan Lazarus (Bill Nighy). But Joel’s grief takes a darker turn when he begins to experience disturbing and unexplainable visions. As he searches for answers, he becomes drawn into a string of cold-case murders that tie back to the unsolved killing of his sister 25 years earlier.
The series boasts a powerhouse cast, including:
-
Sam Claflin (Peaky Blinders, Daisy Jones & The Six) as Joel Lazarus
-
Bill Nighy (Living, Love Actually) as Dr. Jonathan Lazarus
-
Alexandra Roach (No Offence) as Jenna Lazarus
-
David Fynn (The Pembrokeshire Murders) as Seth McGovern
-
Karla Crome (Under the Dome) as Bella Catton
-
Kate Ashfield (Shaun of the Dead) as Detective Alison Brown
Packed with suspense and Coben’s signature twists, Harlan Coben’s Lazarus looks set to deliver a tense, emotional ride that blurs the lines between the psychological and the paranormal.
The trailer teases a haunting atmosphere, layered mysteries, and the central question: how far can the past reach into the present?
