Sly Cooper, the popular raccoon thief, will be appearing in a new game not only for the PS3, but also the Vita.  Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time will be available for both platforms and marks the first time the series has shown up on a handheld system.

Both versions of Thieves in Time are being developed by Sanzaru Games, the minds behind The Sly Collection that came out almost 2 years ago now.  Thieves in Time will utilize the Cross-save functionality so a player’s save will move seamlessly between their PS3 and Vita via the cloud based service, allowing you to start a game on the go and pick it up at home or the converse.  The Vita version of Thieves in time will also take advantage of the handheld’s gyroscopic abilities, granting players the opportunity to tilt and steer Sly and friends through this latest adventure.

Would you buy a PS3/Vita game bundle for the right price?

I think this is a step in the right direction for Sony as this feature has the potential to really take off.  If other publishers can see the value in this, Vita owners may be in for a real treat later down the road.  The only thing left to be done is the creation of some sort of PS3/Vita bundle if identical games are releasing on both platforms, at a reasonable price of course.  That is it for now, but stay tuned for more Sly Cooper news here at HeyUGuys Gaming.
