To celebrate the unveiling of Star, the new arm of Disney+ which showcases the best of their mature content, we sat down with Kevin McKidd – star of Grey’s Anatomy which is one of the main shows to debut on the new platform.

Now in its 17th year, Grey’s Anatomy has become one the biggest drama series in television history and shows no signs of stopping. With Ellen Pompeo still leading the show, the new season puts the group of frontline medical workers in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic and McKidd tells us how the show has adapted itself to reflect the real-world problems facing the world’s medical and support workers. We also chat about his fourteen years on the show, stepping behind the camera to direct some of the show’s episodes and how he hopes he gets to play Dr. Owen Hunt for a long time longer.

You can watch the full interview below:

Star starts on Disney+ from February 23rd.
