Hollywood heavyweights Kevin Costner and Jake Gyllenhaal are officially packing their bags for paradise, with production on ‘Honeymoon With Harry’ set to begin this April in the sun-soaked landscapes of Queensland.

The film, backed by Amazon MGM Studios, is adapted from a novel by Bart Baker and brings together a creative trio with a proven track record. Directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa reunite with writer Dan Fogelman, following their collaborations on beloved projects like ‘Crazy, Stupid, Love,’ ‘This Is Us,’ and ‘Paradise.’

Joining Costner and Gyllenhaal, rising star Sarah Pidgeon is currently in talks to come aboard.

At the heart of ‘Honeymoon With Harry’ lies a character-driven story that blends humour with emotional depth. Gyllenhaal plays a free-spirited and impulsive man whose carefully planned honeymoon spirals into chaos. Instead of a romantic escape, he finds himself stranded on an island getaway with his fiancée’s father, portrayed by Costner, a guarded and difficult figure.

What begins as a clash of personalities slowly softens into something more unexpected, as the two men navigate grief, connection, and the awkward intimacy of shared circumstance. Think tropical sunshine wrapped around emotional thunderstorms.

The film is produced by Karz for Gulfstream Pictures alongside Jennifer Salke under Sullivan Street Productions. Fogelman also serves as a producer.
