Kate Hudson and Oscar-winning Javier Bardem are set to headline the upcoming romantic comedy ‘Hello & Paris,’ a sweeping, book-lined love story that stretches from the cafés of Paris to the quiet corners of long-distance longing.
Described as a romantic comedy in the tradition of genre touchstones like ‘Sleepless in Seattle,’ ‘When Harry Met Sally,’ and ‘You’ve Got Mail,’ the film centres on a fiercely independent landscape architect and a crisis-stricken bestselling novelist whose prickly first meeting in Paris sparks an unexpected connection. What begins as a transatlantic exchange of books, recipes, and carefully guarded truths slowly evolves into something more fragile and luminous, forcing both to confront a disarming question: is companionship more terrifying than solitude?

“Javier Bardem and Kate Hudson will sweep audiences off their feet. We can’t wait for the world to fall in love with this story the way we have.” said Fifth Season’s head of film Christopher Slager.
Elizabeth Chomko (What They Had) is attached to write and direct the feature, which is loosely inspired by Deborah McKinlay’s New York Times Book Review Editors’ Choice novel That Part Was True. The project was optioned and will be produced by two-time Best Picture nominee Finola Dwyer (Brooklyn, An Education) alongside Fifth Season.
