To celerbate the release of Jury Duty, the new mockumentary comedy series coming to Amazon Freevee, we had the pleasure of chatting to star James Marsden about the unique, one-of-a-kind new television event.

All rise. Amazon Freevee has announced a new docu-style comedy series. Jury Duty chronicles the inner workings of an American jury trial through the eyes of one particular juror, Ronald Gladden. What Gladden doesn’t know is that the entire case is fake, everyone except him is an actor, including James Marsden, and everything that happens — inside the courtroom and out — is carefully planned. The trailer for this unique series is available now.

Speaking to Marsden, we chat about the lure of the show, mixing up comedy and dramatic roles, how his time on Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues helped hone his improv skills and helped him be ready for anything during the series, the unique mix of drama and comedy in the series and why its unlike anything he’s done before. We also get an update on Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and his new film Knox Goes Away, co-starring and directed by Batman Michael Keaton.
