Well, I think it’s fair to say that we all saw this coming! Just one day after Jurassic World passed Marvel’s The Avengers to become the third highest grossing movie of all-time, Universal have announced the sequel’s release date. Common sense says they’ve probably been waiting for just this moment to reveal these plans!

Regardless, the movie is set to be released on June 22nd, 2018, and Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard have both been confirmed as reprising their roles. Needless to say, plot details are under wraps right now.

A director hasn’t been announced as of yet, but Universal have revealed that Colin Trevorrow is going to co-write alongside Derek Connolly, so if you enjoyed Jurassic World, chances are you’ll love this one as well!

Jurassic World broke pretty much every box office record there is when it was released in June, and it became only the fourth movie in history to reach $600 million in North America. With a haul of over $900 million internationally, it currently has a worldwide total of $1.52 billion, an amazing amount for sure.
