After inhabiting the duplicitous Lola Quincey in the 2007 big screen adaptation of Ian McEwan’s Atonement and the similarly deceitful Celia in Stephen Polikoff’s Glorious 39 last year Juno Temple’s star has risen dramatically in the past few years.

And with films such as Greenberg, the Cannes contender Kaboom and Dirty Girl on her card in the next year Temple’s profile is attracting much attention, and it seems that the Hollywood tentpole is the next stop, as THR have the news that she is in talks to play the Queen in Paul W. S. Anderson 3D version of Alexandre Dumas’ The Three Musketeers.

If negotiations go to plan Temple will join something of a stellar cast which includes Logan Lerman, Ray Stevenson, Luke Evans, Matthew Macfayden, Christoph Waltz, Mads Mikkelsen and Milla Jovovich, and while Temple is familiar to those following British indie scene this film will catapult her to an wider audience.

Summit’s Musketeers project is due to start shooting in September and while I’ve not found Anderson’s films that inspiring there’s a fine story here and a great cast who could do it justice.
