Jude Law looks set to reunite with Sherlock Holmes director Guy Ritchie for his upcoming take on King Arthur at Warner Bros., Knights of the Round Table. The cast currently includes Charlie Hunnam (Pacific Rim) as King Arthur and Astrid Berges-Frisbey (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) as Guinevere.

Specific details are being kept under wraps, but Law is expected to play the main villain in the movie.

The plan is for Knights of the Round Table to be the first in a series of six movies telling the classic King Arthur story. That’s obviously an extremely ambitious plan and one we may not see come to fruition if the first doesn’t end being a hit at the box office. We’ll find that out when it opens on July 22nd, 2016!

There’s no word on whether this will be a one off appearance for Law or a recurring role through all six.

The next major character to be cast is Arthur’s mentor (possibly Merlin), a part that Luther’s Idris Elba recently passed on. Joby Harold wrote the the script and is producing with Akiva Goldsman and Tory Tunnell.

Jude Law will next be seen in Black Sea. Are you excited to see him reunite with Guy Ritchie for King Arthur?
