Jovan Adepo is interviewed by DaniElle DeLaite for his movie Overlord which is produced by J.J. Abrams and was once rumoured to be part of the Cloverfield series of movies. The World War 2 Zombie film is directed by Julius Avery and stars Jovan Adepo, Wyatt Russell, Mathilde Ollivier, Game of Thrones’ Pilou Asbaek, Iain De Caestecker and Bokeem Woodbine.

Adepo talks about reading the script and wondering how on Earth the production team were going to put some of the incredible scenes on film. He talks about the stunt work, and intense pre-production helped bring this band of unlikely action heroes to life.

It’s a fascinating look at a film which was a visual and visceral feast. Overlord is out in 4K, Blu-ray and DVD Monday, March 11th, 2019.

Plot:

A small group of American soldiers find horror behind enemy lines on the eve of D-Day. On the eve of D-Day, the 5th of June, 1944, several American paratroopers are dropped behind enemy lines to carry out a mission crucial to the invasion’s success: destroy a radio tower built in a little castle of an old French town that the Third Reich uses for communication between Berlin and Normandy beaches’ bunkers.

Things don’t go well from there.
