Oscar® nominee Josh Brolin is set to headline the high-octane action-comedy ‘Mister,’ the latest project from Bright White Light and Thunder Road.

The film follows a man (Brolin) who wakes up in a strange house, covered in blood, with no memory of how he got there — only to discover his true identity as a former contract killer. As assassins from his past — including old flames and one-time friends — close in, he’s forced to fight his way out while teaming up with his estranged daughter. She’s also followed him into the dangerous family business, and together they’ll have to repair their fractured bond if they want to survive.

Wade Eastwood, best known for his acclaimed stunt and second unit work on Mission: Impossible – Fallout and Jumanji: The Next Level, makes his feature directorial debut with the film.

The script is penned by Nicki Cortese and Nick Inglis, who will also produce alongside Wayne Marc Godfrey, Basil Iwanyk, and Erica Lee — the team behind major hits such as John Wick and Sicario.

Filming is set to begin in early 2026 in Spain, with additional casting underway.

Blending hard-hitting action with sharp humour and a father-daughter dynamic at its heart, ‘Mister’ looks poised to deliver a thrilling and emotional ride anchored by Brolin’s trademark intensity and wit.
