We present our interviews from the LFF premiere of Jojo Rabbit, Taika Waititi’s World War 2 satire starring Waititi as Adolf Hitler. The film also stars Scarlett Johansson, Sam Rockwell, Rebel Wilson, Alfie Allen, Stephen Merchant, Roman Griffin Davis and Thomasin McKenzie.

Waititi adapted Christine Leunens’ novel for the film, which premiered at the 2019 Toronto Film Festival. Here are the interviews from the red carpet in London. Scott Davis and Colin Hart conducted the interviews.

Synopsis:

A young boy in Hitler’s army finds out his mother is hiding a Jewish girl in their home. A World War II satire that follows a lonely German boy named Jojo (Roman Griffin Davis) whose world view is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a young Jewish girl (Thomasin McKenzie) in their attic. Aided only by his idiotic imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler (Taika Waititi), Jojo must confront his blind nationalism.
