Pictures’ comedy threequel The Hangover Part III, Variety has announced.

Goodman, whose predominately been seen on the small screen in recent years in series’ such as Community and Treme, will star opposite Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha, Ken Jeong, Heather Graham, Mike Epps and Sasha Barrese.

The Hangover Part III is rumoured to be about Alan’s escape from a mental hospital, but that’s merely speculation. Goodman’s role is said to be a small, yet integral part of the film.

Todd Phillips will return to direct, with production due to start shortly. The film will arrive in cinemas on May 24, 2013.
