Jim Carrey (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) has landed a lead role in Burt Wonderstone.
Carrey will star opposite Steve Carell (Crazy, Stupid, Love) in the John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein-scripted comedy-drama.
Burt Wonderstone centers on a famous but jaded Vegas magician (Carell) who fights for relevance when a new, “hip” street magician (Carrey) appears on the scene.
Don Scardino, who is known for his work directing episodes of 30 Rock and Law & Order, is attached to direct.
Carrey was last seen in the mildly successful Mr. Popper’s Penguins.
