Sam Mendes and John Logan brought back a lot of what makes James Bond great in Skyfall, paying homage to the past of the franchise while also maintaining the gritter and grounded tone established by Casino Royale.

That included a new Q and Miss Moneypenny, and the return of the beloved Aston Martin DB5!

Well, according to new report, it sounds as if we should expect to see 007 battling it out with physically imposing henchman in James Bond 24 as casting has apparently begun for the sequel’s main assassin. The focus is apparently on finding someone who is extremely physically fit and over 6’2″ in height.

Whoever ends up being cast will apparently have “several altercations” with Daniel Craig’s James Bond throughout the movie as well as a driving sequence. The character (currently going under the working name of “Hinx”) is middle aged and sports athletes and anyone “very unusual” will all be considered for the role.

They add that, “The goal is to find the next Jaws or Oddjob – a henchman so different to anything that has gone before that they will become instantly iconic in the film series.”

This is an interesting move, especially as it’s been a while since we really saw James Bond go up against a physical threat where he was at a serious disadvantage. The currently untitled Skyfall follow-up is expected to start shooting this December and is set to be released on October 23rd, 2015 in the UK and a little later in the US on November 6th.
