Iron-Man-3-Teaser-PosterIron Man 3 will be hitting the big screen in just a few months’ time, and the anticipation couldn’t be higher. The film marks the first in Phase Two in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, following on from the immensity that was Joss Whedon’s The Avengers last year.

We can’t wait to see Robert Downey, Jr. back as Tony Stark / Iron Man, living in a post-Avengers world.

The epic first trailer landed back in October, and was followed by a new Japanese trailer before Christmas, with snippets of new footage. And with the Super Bowl being held out in the States this weekend, we’re promised another awesome look at the upcoming blockbuster.

Following on from their preview for Oz the Great and Powerful and yesterday’s The Lone Ranger preview, Disney have now released a short look at the upcoming Iron Man 3 teaser, and it’s more than a little bit brilliant.

“Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?”

Downey, Jr. is joined by another excellent cast, headed up by Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale, Jon Favreau, Wang Xueqi, and Ben Kingsley, with Paul Bettany reprising his role as the voice of JARVIS.

Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) is taking over the helm from Jon Favreau, with Black directing from a script he co-wrote with Drew Pearce (the upcoming Sherlock Holmes 3, Godzilla).

Iron Man 3 will be released in 3D and IMAX 3D on 26th April here in the UK, with its US release date set for 3rd May. This is going to be amazing. Be sure to come back on Sunday for when the full version hits.
