Needless to say, if you’re yet to see Shane Black’s Iron Man 3, then you’d better give this one a miss until you have, because there are spoilers galore in the video below.
Following Joss Whedon’s success with The Avengers last year, which went on to become the third-highest-grossing movie of all time, Marvel came back with their first instalment in Phase Two, and scored a huge win at the box office.
Iron Man 3 is the highest-grossing movie of 2013 to date, netting more than .2bn at the box office, which ranks it as sixth-highest-grossing movie of all time.
With every honest trailer, you’ve got to take things in good nature, and of course some of these things are taken out of context in the video below, some are entirely up for debate, whilst others still are valid points. Black and Drew Pearce’s take on The Mandarin doesn’t go down too kindly here, as has been the case with a lot of fans, which is one of the things up for debate. Another is the fact that the film is set at Christmas, which I personally absolutely loved. Off the top of my head, this is the first major Christmas superhero movie, and that was a niche genre very much in need of filling.
Whatever you think of the film itself, the trailer makes for a lot of fun, and perfect comedy viewing as we head towards the weekend.
Iron Man 3 will be released on Blu-ray/Blu-ray 3D/DVD on Monday, 9th September, here in the UK, and will be doing the same in the US later in the month on September 24th. For now, here’s the honest trailer. Enjoy.
