Having worked alongside innovative filmmaker Lars von Trier on countless occasions, there is little that surprises actor Stellan Skarsgård. However even their latest project, Nymphomaniac, is something of an audacious project – and we were thrilled to sit down with the Swede to discuss the picture.
Skarsgård discusses the explicit nature to this title (it’s not a movie you can “wank to” he points out), while he explains the common process of shooting sex scenes in mainstream productions. He also tells us how von Trier has developed over the past 20 years, and gives us a little insight into his forthcoming picture, Cinderella.
