Judith Godreche may not be a name that too many people are familiar with… yet. She’s an actress who is better known to audiences in France where she’s been working constantly since the mid-1980’s, with a few American titles to her name, but she’s poised to steal your hearts with her newest film.
It’s called THE OVERNIGHT, and it’s the brainchild of writer/director Patrick Brice (CREEP). Godreche plays Charlotte, wife to uninhibited Los Angeles hipster Kurt (Jason Schwartzman) who invites a new-in-town Seattle company over for dinner and a playdate for their kids. Once dinner is complete and the kids are put to bed, Charlotte and Kurt’s ultimate goal is revealed in a stunningly frank and hilarious new take on the modern relationship comedy.
We sat down with Judith to talk about the film and, among other things, the challenge of making such a revealing sexual comedy. You can check that out below.
The Overnight is released in UK cinemas Friday 26th June.
