In-Fear-US-Poster-sliceAfter making its debut at Sundance last year, Jeremy Lovering’s horror film, In Fear, is finally about to get its stateside release, having hit cinemas on our shores just after Halloween last year.

The movie went on to have its UK premiere at Sundance London, which is where I first saw it, and thought it was absolutely brilliant – you can read our review here. Easily one of the best horror movies of last year.

With its theatrical and home entertainment release now in sight across the Atlantic, Anchor Bay has launched the US trailer over on Yahoo Movies, as well as releasing the stateside poster.

IN FEAR is an intense psychological horror about a young couple’s fight to make it through the night. Home invasion but in a car. In real-time. Tom and Lucy are trapped in a maze of country roads with only their vehicle for protection, terrorised by an unseen tormentor hell-bent on exploiting their worst fears – fear of the dark, fear of the unknown, fear of themselves.

From Big Talk Productions, producers of Shaun of the Dead, Sightseers, The World’s End and Hot Fuzz. Directed by Jeremy Lovering, starring Iain De Caestecker (Joss Whedon’s AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Alice Englert (Beautiful Creatures, Ginger and Rosa).

Alice Englert (Beautiful Creatures) and Iain De Caestecker (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) give brilliant and tremendously convincing performances in the lead, with great support from Allen Leech (Downton Abbey).

Lovering makes his feature directorial debut, with years of experience on the small screen under his belt, including episodes of Sherlock, Teachers, and Spooks. He directs from his own script, with Nira Park (Scott Pilgrim, Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy) and James Biddle (Sightseers, Cuban Fury) producing.

In Fear will begin its limited release in the US on March 7th, before its DVD, Blu-ray, and VOD release on March 11th, a day after its physical release in the UK on 10th March.
