Though billed as a ghost story in some parts, a creepy horror in others, and with much emphasis on the malevolent dress at the core of the tale – when we interviewed Peter Strickland on his latest film In Fabric – back at the Toronto International Film Festival – he admitted his main inspiration came from something different: department store shopping.

Discussing his own memories spent in that very setting, he talks about the joy in collaborating with Marianne Jean-Baptiste, and comments too on film festival culture, and weighs in on the Netflix vs Cinema debate. He also speaks about his film influences, and what’s next for him…

Synopsis
