Apple TV has unveiled the first look at ‘Imperfect Women,’ a gripping new psychological thriller led by Emmy Award winners Elisabeth Moss and Kerry Washington, who also serve as executive producers on the series.

Created for television by Annie Weisman (Physical, Based on a True Story), who also serves as showrunner, the eight-episode series will make its global debut on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, March 18, launching with the first two episodes. New episodes will then roll out weekly every Wednesday through April 29.

Based on Araminta Hall’s novel of the same name, ‘Imperfect Women’ centres on a crime that fractures a friendship spanning decades between three women. As the investigation unfolds, so too does a far more unsettling truth. What emerges is an unconventional thriller that dissects guilt and retribution, love and betrayal, and the quiet compromises that can irrevocably alter the course of a life. At its core, the series questions how well we ever truly know the people closest to us.

Alongside Moss and Washington, the series boasts a formidable ensemble cast including Kate Mara, Joel Kinnaman, Corey Stoll, Leslie Odom Jr., Audrey Zahn, Jill Wagner, Rome Flynn, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Violette Linnz, Indiana Elle, Jackson Kelly, Keith Carradine, Ana Ortiz, and Wilson Bethel.

For Weisman, “Imperfect Women” marks her latest collaboration with Apple TV+ following the critically acclaimed dramedy ‘Physical.’
