I Wanna Dance With Somebody

As a final interview of the year for us here at HeyUGuys, there’s not many better to end on that with the affable duo of Stanley Tucci and Naomi Ackie, promoting the Whiney Houston biopic I Wanna Dance With Somebody. The film, out on Boxing Day, is notable for prioritising the talent and humanity of its subject, and we asked Tucci and Ackie about the importance of that fact.

Ackie also talks about landing this role and who she told first, while Tucci also casts his mind back across his career at roles that he has taken great pride in. The pair also discuss Tucci’s Searching for Italy, wearing the iconic outfits that Whitney wore in her music videos, and naturally the conversation even finds its way to discussing McDonalds, and running around London looking for a specific cheese. Enjoy!
