I-Give-It-A-Year-Quad-PosterDue out in the UK next month, Dan Mazer’s I Give It A Year has the potential to be one of the best British comedies we’ve seen in quite a long time.

The latest trailer landed just before Christmas, giving us another excellent look at the film, shortly followed by a hilarious first clip and new images.

And with just a few short weeks before it arrives, StudioCanal have now released another great clip, focusing on Stephen Merchant and his best man’s speech.

“Since they met at a party, ambitious high-flyer Nat (Byrne) and struggling novelist Josh (Spall) have been deliriously happy despite their differences. Josh is a thinker, Nat’s a doer ..but the spark between them is undeniable.

Their wedding is a dream come true, but family, friend and even the minister who marries them aren’t convinced that they can last. Josh’s ex-girlfriend, Chloe (Faris), and Nat’s handsome American client Guy (Baker), could offer attractive alternatives.

With their first anniversary approaching, neither wants to be the first to give up, but will they make it?”

Rafe Spall (Life of Pi), Rose Byrne (Bridesmaids), Anna Faris (Scary Movie), and Simon Baker (The Mentalist) star as the leading quartet. And joining them is an excellent supporting cast, headed up by Merchant (An Idiot Abroad), Minnie Driver (Good Will Hunting), Olivia Colman (Tyrannosaur), and the ever-brilliant Jason Flemyng (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels).

Oscar nominee Mazer (Borat, Brüno) is directing from his own script, making his feature debut as a director. It looks to be a very promising debut too, with Kris Thykier (Kick-Ass) and Oscar nominees, Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan (The Big Lebowski, Shaun of the Dead, Love Actually), producing.

I Give It A Year will be released in UK theatres on 8th February, and it’s definitely one to commit to memory to see when it hits. No word yet on a US release date, but here’s to hoping that it will be heading across the Atlantic soon. For now, here’s the great new clip. Enjoy.
