Sometimes Hollywood maths sells your picture. (Russell Crowe + Ryan Gosling) x Shane Black = a huge hit. That’s the plan at least.

The Nice Guys is the answer to that sum, and on the 3rd of June we get to find out if Black’s take on the sleazy 70s adds up.

Black’s wicked sense of humour is more in evidence in this second trailer for the film, with what looks like being a fun mix of violence and slapstick. Gosling and Crowe look like they’re having  ball too.

Here’s your trailer friends,

‘Hey, y’all got anymore of them synopsis?’ ‘Why, yes beleaguered man, thus!’

“The Nice Guys” takes place in 1970s Los Angeles, when down-on-his-luck private eye Holland March (Gosling) and hired enforcer Jackson Healy (Crowe) must work together to solve the case of a missing girl and the seemingly unrelated death of a porn star. During their investigation, they uncover a shocking conspiracy that reaches up to the highest circles of power.

The film also stars Angourie Rice, Matt Bomer (the “Magic Mike” films, HBO’s “The Normal Heart”), Margaret Qualley (HBO’s “The Leftovers”), Keith David (TV’s “Community”) and Oscar winner Kim Basinger (“L.A. Confidential”).
