Upon walking into the room to interview comedy duo Taiki Waititi and Jemaine Clement, the latter was there to welcome us in with a plate of tiny strawberries. “Tiny strawberry?” he offered. Having said yes, Clement looked at us blankly and said, “They’re so tiny it’s wonderful”. We knew at this point, we’d be in for an entertaining 10 minutes with these droll witted comedians.

That’s exactly what transpired too – as we interviewed the pair for their vampire mockumentary, What We Do in the Shadows – a hilarious study of a collective of vampires trying to make ends meet in a contemporary world. We discussed the film in depth, of course, but our favourite moment is when the pair attempt to show off their English accents. Plymouth, in particular, a highlight.

What We Do in the Shadows is out in cinemas now, and you can read our review here.
