White House Down hits UK cinemas this Friday 13th September and earlier in the year we got to chat with Maggie Gyllenhall, Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx about their brand new action movie. White House Down is directed by Roland Emmerich who you’ll knock from Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow and 2012. This movie differs slightly from those due to the fact that the entire film is based in and around one of the most famous buildings in the world and throughout the interviews, we hear from the cast and Director Emmerich himself what it was like filming on what, for him is a smaller scale.

Today we get to hear from Maggie Gyllenhall who tells us that originally she didn’t want to take the role but after speaking to brother Jake who’d worked on an Emmerich movie previously, decided that taking the role was the right thing to do.

Keep your eyes peeled in the coming days for more interviews with Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx and Director Roland Emmerich but for now, here’s Maggie!
