To celebrate the anticipated release of Dickinson, one of the new shows debuting on Apple TV+ from November 1st, we sat down with stars Hailee Steinfeld and Jane Krakowski and the shows creator Alena Smith for a chat about the show, it’s hybrid of old and new and how important it is to embrace female characters from history and the lessons we can learn from them.

Starring Academy Award® nominee Steinfeld, Dickinson is a half-hour comedy series that audaciously explores the constraints of society, gender and family from the perspective of rebellious young poet Emily Dickinson. Set in the 19th century, the series is a coming-of-age story that finds Emily to be the unexpected hero for our millennial generation.
