Regardless of how little we actually know of Ridley Scott’s mysterious Alien spin-off sci-fi yarn, Prometheus, the director certainly isn’t putting a foot wrong in terms of casting choices.

Guy Pearce’s name has been banded around for a couple of days now as a potential addition to the cast, and now it would appear that The Playlist has indeed confirmed that the Memento star is onboard. He’s join the already-impressive line-up of Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron and a host of talented names from the UK, including Michael Fassbender, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie and Rafe Spall.

Pearce has the Guillermo del Toro-produced Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark due for release sometime this year, and it’s nice to see such a talented figure stepping back into the fantasy genre so soon again.
