After Channing Tatum confirmed to us back in August, the script for Gambit is undergoing a rewrite, a character breakdown for the heavily delayed project has made its way online, meaning that casting looks set to start imminently.
Production could start rolling as early as the beginning of 2018 in New Orleans of the Gore Verbinski helmed project with Tatum taking up the lead. Thanks to That Hashtag show releasing the below full list of character details we can get a hint of who the film will include and that a sequel could very well be in the pipeline if it becomes a success amongst audiences.
[MARIYA] Female, Caucasian, mid 20s – early 30s. Must be 5’11’+. Tall, stunning and willowy, a Parisian glamour girl. Must speak fluent French or do a perfect French accent. ROLE REQUIRES SEQUEL OPTIONS.
[LEWIS] Male, any ethnicity, 40s-50s. Elegant and intelligent. An appealing entrepreneur with an unexpected dark side. ROLE REQUIRES SEQUEL OPTION.
[MRS. STANTON] Female, Caucasian, 50s. An elegant older woman with a French accent. Must speak fluent French.

Lea Seydoux had reportedly joined the project back in 2015 but with the huge delay in getting the film off the ground could very well have pulled out.
