ITV has lifted the veil on ‘Gone,’ a six-part psychological drama that promises secrets sharpened like broken glass and a mystery that refuses to sit quietly in the corner. Led by Eve Myles and David Morrissey, the series dives into the unsettling disappearance of a headmaster’s wife and the slow, deliberate unravelling of a man who appears far too composed for comfort.

The newly released trailer introduces viewers to Michael Polly (David Morrissey), a respected local headmaster whose orderly world fractures when his wife Sarah vanishes without a trace. Calm, controlled and deeply private, Michael quickly becomes the prime suspect, drawing suspicion from both the community that once admired him and the investigator determined to expose the truth.

Enter Detective Annie Cassidy, played by Eve Myles, a fiercely intelligent and instinct-driven officer who refuses to be dazzled by reputation or restraint. As Annie presses closer, the story unfolds into a tense game of pursuit and perception, where every polite smile could conceal something far darker. Beneath the central mystery, Gone explores lingering trauma, fragile trust and the long shadow cast by elite institutions that prefer silence over scrutiny.

The drama is written by acclaimed screenwriter George Kay (The Long Shadow, Hijack, Lupin) and directed by Richard Laxton (Mrs Wilson, Burton and Taylor, The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe, Joan).

Alongside Myles and Morrissey, the ensemble cast includes Jennifer Macbeth, Arthur Hughes, Nicholas Nunn, Elliot Cowan, Billy Barratt, Rupert Evans, Jodie McNee, Oscar Batterham and Clare Higgins.
