Hold on to your knickers, another Hangover-inspired film based on the ‘fairer’ sex is about to gracelessly hit our screens in Girls Trip. Judging from the newly released trailer it isn’t far off the upcoming Rough Night, except there are no accidentally dead male stripper in sight.
Do you fancy watching Jada Pinkett Smith releasing her bowels while suspended from mid-air onto a gazing crowd, or even four feisty women getting high on Absinthe and causing an all out brawl in a dance-off in the middle of a club? Well, that’s what you get as the four lifelong friends decide to get away for the weekend and relive their younger days as potty mouths take hold as well as their raging sexual hormones. Oh, these ladies are nasty, lively and horny and slightly offensive when one declares “I’m getting white girl drunk” – well, this white girl could drink her under the table…
Girls Trip is directed by Malcolm D. Lee (Barbershop: The Next Cut, Scary Movie 5) and has a cast that includes Regina Hall (Think Like A Man, Barbershop: The Next Cut), Queen Latifah (Last Holiday, Beauty Shop), Jada Pinkett Smith (Gotham, Matrix: Reloaded), Tiffany Haddish (Keanu, Meet the Spartans), Larenz Tate (Game of Silence), Mike Colter (Luke Cage, Jessica Jones), Kate Walsh (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) and Kofi Siriboe (Whiplash, Straight Outta Compton).
