He may have recently been involved in a bike accident, but thankfully Gerard Butler seemed in good shape and in fine form at the London press junket for Geostorm – which hits cinemas on October 20th.

We began with the most obvious question of all – what exactly is a Geostorm? Once we got that out of the way we discussed the pertinence to the narrative and what it tells us about the human condition. We then went on to speak about Angel Has Fallen and how tonally different it is from the preceding two endeavours in the trilogy. Talking of trilogies, we couldn’t help but ask about How to Train Your Dragon 3 – and Butler confirms he’s working on getting friend Taron Egerton a part in this latest instalment.

Synopsis

After an unprecedented series of natural disasters threatened the planet, the world’s leaders came together to create an intricate network of satellites to control the global climate and keep everyone safe. But now, something has gone wrong: the system built to protect Earth is attacking it, and it becomes a race against the clock to uncover the real threat before a worldwide Geostorm wipes out everything and everyone along with it.
