frozen UK PosterBilled in this latest trailer as the greatest event for Disney’s animation arm since The Lion King, Frozen certainly has a lot to live up to.

The animated blockbuster is due to hit cinemas in the States over the Thanksgiving weekend, and is of course expected to be topping the box office at the end of next month. And with just weeks before it lands on the big screen, the studio has launched a new trailer, which teases a little of the music that will undoubtedly be Oscar-bound early next year.

Walt Disney Animation Studios, the studio behind “Tangled” and “Wreck-It Ralph,” presents “Frozen,” a stunning big-screen comedy adventure.

Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an epic journey—teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven—to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.

Kristen Bell lends her voice as the young lead, Anna, alongside Jonathan Groff, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad, Santino Fontana, Chris Williams, and Alan Tudyk.

Chris Buck (Surf’s Up) and Jennifer Lee (Wreck-It Ralph) are directing from a script penned by Lee, with Lee making her feature directorial debut, and a promising one at that.

Frozen will be released in 3D on November 27th in the US, with its UK release date set for 6th December.
