The two trailers that we’ve seen so far for the upcoming party movie, Project X, produced by Todd Phillips (The Hangover), have both been promising, with plenty of out-of-control, utterly insane partying on a kind of scale that just defies reality.

We’ve now got three new thirty-second TV spots to share with you, via ComingSoon.net, in which we get a bit more footage from the film, as well as some of the great shots we’ve already seen, like a cute dog bouncing on a trampoline, a helicopter dousing a flaming street with water, and a neighbour getting electrocuted with a good old-fashioned Taser.

““Project X” follows three seemingly anonymous high school seniors as they attempt to finally make a name for themselves. Their idea is innocent enough: let’s throw a party that no one will forget… but nothing could prepare them for this party. Word spreads quickly as dreams are ruined, records are blemished and legends are born. “Project X” is a warning to parents and police everywhere. This film has been rated R for crude and sexual content throughout, nudity, drugs, drinking, pervasive language, reckless behavior and mayhem-all involving teens.”

Nima Nourizadeh makes his directorial debut with this, from a script co-written by Matt Drake and Michael Bacall, the latter of whom counts among his credits the brilliant Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Definitely some potential there.

Project X will be coming to UK cinemas on 2nd March this year, so just under a month to go before the craziness unfolds on the big screen. It looks more than a little out of control, and these new TV spots have no trouble in getting that across. Enjoy.
