Based on a true story, Being Flynn definitely has some potential, with a cast headed up by Paul Dano and Robert De Niro, supported by Julianne Moore and Olivia Thirlby.

Written and directed by Paul Weitz, whose credits include About a Boy and American Pie, the film is based on the award-winning memoir by Nick Flynn called Another Bullshit Night in Suck City, and is now only a couple of weeks away from its release in America.

Yahoo Movies now have five new clips to share with us from the film, in which we get to see some great interactions between Dano, De Niro, Moore, and Thirlby.

“Nick Flynn is shocked to have his eccentric and long-absent father, Jonathan reach out to him unexpectedly. Still feeling the loss of his mother in the midst of starting a new relationship with Denise, the last person Nick wants to see is his father. But you can’t outrun fate and slowly Nick comes to realize he has been given the chance to make a real future not only for himself, but for his struggling father too.”

Watching these new clips has definitely got me even more excited about the film than I already was (which was pretty), which is due to have a limited release in the US on 2nd March. Sadly, there’s no word of a UK release, so it looks like we’ll have to wait a while longer for it to come out on DVD/Blu-Ray. But it should be well worth the wait.
