When Quentin Tarantino’s script for The Hateful Eight was leaked, the filmmaker was understandably furious (it had only been distributed to six people). He later stated that it would no longer be his next project and that while he might still make it in the future, he would likely just end up publishing it as a book.

However, it was recently revealed that the movie is indeed the one he’s lining up to direct for a 2015 release, and after a very well-received live reading in Los Angeles not too long ago, it has now been confirmed that the first trailer (clocking in at 1:40 in length) is set to debut with Sin City: A Dame to Kill For later this month.

Various reports state that The Hateful Eight trailer will be enclosed with the digital projection copy of the Sin City sequel, but the bad news is that The Weinstein Company have confirmed that it will be available only in cinemas and not online. This is a smart way of getting Tarantino fans in to see the movie, but whether or not those who definitely aren’t interested in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For are really missing out is debatable.

After all, The Hateful Eight hasn’t even started production as of yet, so it will likely only be made up of a voice over and some recorded dialogue at the very most (unless Tarantino has shot a few minutes of footage).

Whether the trailer will be included with UK versions of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For remains to be seen, but based on past experience, it sadly seems unlikely. Are you looking forward to The Hateful Eight?
