The original didn’t earn exceptional reviews, but it did take almost m. at the box office, which is an impressive feat for pretty much any horror, and here’s to hoping the sequel will tap into some of that success.
“When Andy Wyrick moves his wife Lisa and daughter Heidi to an historic home in Georgia, they quickly discover they are not the house’s only inhabitants. Joined by Lisa’s free-spirited sister, Joyce, the family soon comes face-to-face with a bone-chilling mystery born of a deranged desire… a haunting secret rising from underground and threatening to bring down anyone in its path.”
Tom Elkins, editor for the original film, is making his feature directorial debut, directing from a script by David Coggeshall (Desire, Watch Over Me).
The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia will be released in the US on 1st February, 2013. As of yet, the film doesn’t have a release date set for the UK, but given the success of the original, I’d imagine we’ll be seeing it here at roughly the same time.
