It’s been a day of firsts today, with the first trailers for Michel Gondry’s The We and the I and Matthew Perry’s new show, Go On.

Now we can add to that the first trailer for Hit and Run, starring Dax Shepard, Kristen Bell, and Bradley Cooper, with Yahoo Movies debuting this for the film with an introduction from Shepard and Bell (who are engaged in real life).

Shepard’s co-directed the film alongside past collaborator David Palmer (Brother’s Justice), with the supporting cast headed up by Kristin Chenoweth (The West Wing, Glee), Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville), Beau Bridges (The Descendants), Tom Arnold (True Lies), and David Koechner (Anchorman), with Shepard penning the script himself.

“Charlie Bronson, a former getaway driver busts out of the Witness Protection Program to drive his girlfriend to Los Angeles so she can land her dream job. Their road trip grows awkwardly complicated, when they are chased by the feds, and increasingly dangerous, when Charlie’s former gang of criminals enter the fray.”

Hit and Run will be released in the US on 24th August, and as yet, there’s no word on if/when it will be coming to the UK. I’m inclined to think we may have to wait for a DVD/Blu-ray release, but with Cooper and Bell both fairly well known on our shores, I’ll hopefully be proven wrong. More as we get it. For now, here’s the new trailer to give you an idea of what we’re in store for.
